Can you create a VM on a Intel m3 7th Gen? Real time install of Zorin using HyperV on Win 10
I was asked if it was possible to run Zorin OS in a virtual machine, on a laptop powered by Intel m3 7th gen, with 8GB RAM and 1TB SSD.
In this video I go through the process of creating a VM using Hyper-V and installing Zorin OS. Spoiler - it works, but it's slow. Mainly down to the hardware. This video is real time, so you'll get a feel for how long it takes to install and how it operates once installed in a VM. If you are planning on running Linux in a VM on such hardware, I recommend choosing a lightweight distro such as Lubuntu. Zorin OS is a lovely distro based on Ubuntu. If I installed this on the m3 7th gen as the main operating system it would fly!
