See some Exclusive video of how coal is loaded into barges. A tour of
how the coal goes from the coal holding silo to get into the barges, along
with a visit inside where the operator loads the barges and will tell
you about the 3 different size barges we load here. Our coal silo here
holds right around 7200 tons of coal. Each train has 38 cars and each
car has 115 tons in it, so you can figure out many trains it takes to
load each size of barge. For instance it takes about 1 full train to load
3 Jumbo barges.
