In this video I'm demonstrating the use of the free LoudMax VST limiter plugin to apply a lot of gain in order to bring the loudness or volume up on some dialogue audio that was recorded very low.

There are three examples of how I gain the audio. The first is to use the channel fader, the second is a combination of the channel fader and the master stereo output fader, or summing buss. The third is to use a combination of LoudMax and the channel fader control.

While this isn't ideal, it should give a good example of what you can do if you have accidentally recorded your source audio too low.

Here is a link to where you can download the LoudMax plugin. If you like LoudMax after trying it and becomes a part of your audio tool set, please leave a donation for the developer of LoudMax. You can find a link to make a donation on the same page as the plugin downloads.

If you are interested in the video editing software that I use in all of my videos it's called Edius by a company called Grass Valley. Here's a link to the GV website for more information on Edius, you can also download a demo of Edius to try out all its functions. Edius is the best NLE ever.
