P-values seem to always be a source of confusion. In this video we use resampling on the beer and mosquito data set. The one and only true interpretation of a p-value in this resampling method is "the fraction of the time that we would expect to see a result as extreme as the original statistic". Though academic texts sometime teach that a p-value of 0.05 is the "cut-off", this is arbitrary. The null hypothesis ritual ought to be more context flexible. I have heard of some physics applications that use 10e-6 for their p-value!
