This monsoon I have decided to visit hidden and unexplored places around Mumbai. in the last video we visited hidden waterfall and this time we explored Necklace Point in Jawhar. Thsi is best place to visit in Monsoon. We also explored Shirpamal.
Shirpamal is a place of Historical Importance, as this is the place where Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was felicitated by the Local King when he stayed overnight here, while on his way to Surat. It is actually on the Jawhar Nashik Road at a place called Dharampur which is about 4 kms from the Jawhar City.
The Shirpamal. A structure created at the top of a hill is said to have been built three centuries ago when Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj chose to camp here en-route to surat. It is very popular place where the first Vikramshah, The King of Jawhar kingdom had welcomed Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and put a feather in his crown. It is located at the pinnacle of the highest hill so that a watch could be kept on the enemy movements and also to view the complete valley vibrating with the natural beauty.
शिरपामाळ हे छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांच्या पदस्पर्शाने पुनीत झालेले स्थान आहे सूरतला जात असताना येथेच छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांनी रात्रभर मुक्काम केला तेव्हा जव्हारचे राजे पहिले विक्रमशहा यांनी छत्रपतींना मानाचा शिरपेच देऊन त्यांचे स्वागत केले.
शिरपामल. तीन शतकांपूर्वी छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांनी सुरतला जाताना येथे तळ ठोकण्याचा निर्णय घेतला तेव्हा टेकडीच्या माथ्यावर तयार केलेली वास्तू बांधली गेली असे म्हणतात. जव्हार राज्याचा पहिला विक्रमशाहा याने छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांचे स्वागत करून त्यांच्या मुकुटाला पंख लावले होते ते अतिशय लोकप्रिय ठिकाण आहे. हे सर्वात उंच टेकडीच्या शिखरावर आहे जेणेकरुन शत्रूच्या हालचालींवर लक्ष ठेवता येईल आणि नैसर्गिक सौंदर्याने कंप पावणारी संपूर्ण दरी देखील पहाता येईल.
