Apple 4 to 1 Stock Split 2020
Apple just announced on Thursday, July 30th, 2020 that the company will do a 4 to 1 stock split on August 31st. This surprise announcement came out along with its earnings report which was overwhelmingly positive!
Apple's earnings for the second quarter of 2020 were almost $60 billion! Coronavirus, economic downturn, and anti-trust issues can't touch Apple's stock! As I'm writing this Apple hit a new all-time high and the company now thinks it's time to hit that reset button back to $100 per share.
See, unlike Amazon, Tesla, and Google, Apple likes to do stock splits. It might have been a while since we've seen a stock split from a bigger company so this is creating a lot of buzz around the world and what it potentially means for shareholders.
