Spatial sound controlled with SOMI-1 (feat. Portrait XO)
For monom’s first Spatial Festival in 2022, performance artist Portrait XO collaborated with the 3D Spatial Engineer and sound artist Shehryar Ahmad. They composed 3 movements together in 4DSOUND with the theme ‘artificial embodiment’ as Portrait XO was exploring how to integrate gestures to perform duets real-time with my AI voice. With SOMI-1, Portrait XO was able to transform her movements into sound and visuals within monom's spatial audio system.
