found a pretty cool video from PLAZMA on vimeo. They've used the original WWI footage and superimposed the CGI of the tripods making it look/sound like the original Orson Welles radio novella (orig. by H.G. Wells).. Anyway, it fit my song from 9 years ago pretty freaking well...
