Train Simulator 2021 - LMS Fowler 3F or 'Jinty' and the Western Branchline (Workshop route)
The Jinty is one of my favourite British tank engines (along with the Great Western 72xx class). Actually I consider the Jinty to be the UK's signiature tank engine, in the same way that I consider Venus to be Shocking Blue's signiature song.
Meshtools - a TS developer - made their Jinty add-on all the way back in 2013, and I feel it has aged very well. In other words, the Jinty in TS doesn't feels younger than it actually is (much like the 2F Dock Tank).
Today we're going for a drive with Fowler 3F No. 47329, who is pulling a rake of three Mk1 coaches and a flatbed with a little car on it. The route we're driving on is Western Branchline (by AirbourneAlex), and it's one of many Workshop routes I have in my collection. I should state that this route is fictional, despite taking place in the not-so-fictional England.
We start our run at Havenbrook; the junction for the 3.1 mile long Waterbeach branch. After taking on passengers, we can head down to Waterbeach and back. Once at the terminus, we will have to uncouple the Jinty and run her around the train.
There are two out-of-place engines at Waterbeach, but I put them there just for the heck of it. These are the one-off Great Western 4-6-2; The Great Bear - and a London & North Western Railway A class; an 0-8-0 tender engine with an enormous middle cylinder.
