I have tried manually fixing the discolored spots on my TV, and the problem persists. For those who don't know, I ordered this TV off eBay, spending a portion of my paycheck on it. (I'll never do that again) The TV arrived all busted up. But surprisingly, not the screen. I was hoping the tv would at least have power, but it didn't. So, I popped the back off of it and attempted to fix it myself, but I got nowhere. So, I took it to a guy who specializes in repairing electronics. And he got it up and running for me. I paid him for it. He had to solder some wires in the circuit board that powers the Cathode Ray Tube inside the TV because the board was cracked. And he had to apply some epoxy resin to the cover so it doesn't break. I'm just glad I have a good working CRT TV. I don't plan to get rid of this one. That's for sure. But, maybe sometime down the road, I may do demonstrations for other CRT TVs. Again, maybe. I forgot to mention the guy who fixed my TV held onto it for quite a while. That was because he had other projects already pending, and I had to wait patiently. It was well worth it. So, I am going to keep this unit until it eventually quits on me. Which, I don't see happening any time soon.
