Meeting the climate crisis sustainably involves addressing climate justice and just transition. Adaptation and mitigation actions must be fair and equitable - mindful of widening socio-economic gaps and protecting the most vulnerable communities at greatest risk.
At the same time, this is also an opportunity to create social innovation for a just transition and climate resilience, with climate justice as the compass pointing towards ways of creating greater solidarity and equality across society.
