Couple things to remember when you're designing your Facebook Collage Cover Photo:
1 - you have to get this image out the door at under 100k to avoid Facebook compression that will make your image look very pixelated and unprofessional - so limit the number of images and business of the ones you do choose
2 - Just like on YouTube Channel art, Facebook changes the way they show your cover photos based on what device is accessing it. Which means you're designing for a middle ground.
3 - Safe areas are different for a profile cover photo versus a page cover photo because of the way they show profile photos vs a page avatar photo on mobile. On a profile display, the cover photo is largely covered up by the profile photo, whereas on a page the cover photos is 100% visible on both desktop and mobile - which gives you way more flexibility with your text placement.
