Pee Wee Gaskins, often abbreviated as PWG or Pee Wee Gaskins, is a prominent Indonesian rock band formed in 2007. The band members include Dochi, Sansan, Ayi, Omo, and Aldy. They released their debut EP, “Stories from Our High School Years,” in April 2007 through Knurd Records, selling 2000 copies. Their first full-length album, “The Sophomore,” came out in early 2009 under Variant Records, selling over 20,000 copies. In 2010, they released “Ad Astra Per Aspera,” which marked a shift with fewer synthesizers and distinct lyrics compared to their previous works.
In 2016, Pee Wee Gaskins signed with Universal Music Indonesia and released their third album, “A Youth Not Wasted.” That same year, they opened for the Australian band 5 Seconds of Summer during their Sound Live Feels Live World Tour in Jakarta. In 2018, they released a mini-album titled “Salute to 90’s,” featuring covers of Indonesian 90’s hits. Their latest full-length album, “Mixed Feeling,” was released in 2019, with a cover designed by Dochi’s daughter and the sleeve boxset cover by Jemima, the daughter of senior music journalist Adib Hidayat. The album was produced by Erix Soekamti of the band Endank Soekamti.
