I have owned my home for a while now and unfortunately grass and weeds are here to stay. For the longest time I was on the search for a more cost effective solution to purchasing Round-Up which is around $33 including tax.
This method is weed killer safe for dogs and cats too!
This method works very well and quickly. Is very cheap for the ingredients to make and is non-toxic to the environment.
Ratio of ingredients:
1 Gallon white distilled vinegar
1 cup salt
1 tbs of dish soap
Saturate the weeds and grass with this solution when it is most sunny during the day. If it is forecasted to rain, I would recommend not doing it.
Once saturated, just wait. Within a few hours you will see the weeds beginning to die and within 24 hours they will be completely dead. Many times, the wind will break away the weeds and grass from the ground and you won't even have to pull them up.
