The Soviet Russian opera and chamber singer Leonid Mikhailovich Kharitonov (baritone bass) on the eve of his solo concert in the Tchaikovsky hall talks about his experience of performing and understanding old Russian romances and folk songs (with English subtitles). The program includes the Russian folk song "Here is the postal troika rushing" performed by the artist.
This interview was recorded in the fall of 1986 at Leonid Mikhailovich's home and it has never been published before.
The video recording was scanned and digitized from the film tape of the singer's personal archive.
