Sharing my landscape digital painting process for creating this Square Lens painting, "Convergence".
In this landscape speedpainting, I'm using a mix of digital photobashing techniques here in Photoshop (with my wacom tablet), along with a fair amount of over-painting to get rid of the base photo-textures as much as I can (although I like a nice blend of the two), and just good ol'regular digital painting.
I'm a huge fan of doing speedpaints, as it's a fun and a great technique to get your ideas down, and get them down well. Digital methods obviously speed this up tremendously, and this is where photobashing comes into play. If you've wondered how I photobash while still retaining a semi-painterly look, then stick around and watch the whole thing.
If you want a narrated explanation that goes in-depth into my methods and processes, then definitely check out my gumroad for all the various 'process packs' that I've shared out there that show off all the different painting techniques that I use.
Need more art videos in your life? For that I have full playlists dedicated to sharing a lot of my techniques, so be sure to check those out as well.
