In this lecture I had explained, JHD162A series lcd interfacing with 8051 microcontroller assembly code. This character lcd 16x2 with 8051 lcd assembly code is presented in this lecture. The microcontroller that we used is AT89C51 from Atmel. After that We had explained how to read the datasheet and where to find useful information whenever we want to interface something new with our micro controller. We explained that there are two modes of interfacing one is called 4bit and other is 8bit mode which we chooses to program in our current lecture.
We also had seen when to use which mode. We talked about the pros and cos of both modes a little.
We also followed our pattern from previous tutorial series which is to learn by debugging the code. We faced few errors and we see how to tackle those errors.
We done everything in Assembly language one more useful thing that we learned during this lecture is to pass parameters to function using "A" Register.
