David Borden - The Continuing Story of Counterpoint, Part 8 (animated graphical score)
Part Eight of 'The Continuing Story of Counterpoint' was composed a year after the sad disbanding of the last all-Moog Mother Mallard group. With the minimal amount of equipment I had left, I set up a temporary studio in a vacant firing range at Cornell University during the summer of 1979 and completed Part Eight surrounded by spent shells and perforated targets. It was a difficult time during which I was not performing at all and composing very little.

Originally scored for two electric pianos (RMI and Rhodes) and two monophonic synthesizers. The music for Piano 1 is adapted from the music for Piano 2 in Part 5 of 'The Continuing Story of Counterpoint', composed in 1977.
