I've now been to Brazil twice--once to the Rio de Janeiro area and now to the Northeast. It has been an absolute blast both times! Statistically, it is more dangerous than the US, but everyone we encountered was nice and helpful. My Portuguese is steadily getting better, and the dollar goes a long way there, so I'm excited to continue exploring new parts of the country with Rafaela. There's a new paradise to be experienced every time I visit.
