Resurrecting a Piece of Rocketry History

https://gofund.me/ffc21d56

Greetings,

We are embarking on an endeavor to reconstruct and test a Hypervelocity Rocket designed and patented by Dr. Werner W. Hohenner, originally developed at Westinghouse Electric Corporation in the 1960s. This rocket is characterized by its:

Very high Length to Diameter ratio from between 25 to 50.
A mass ratio between Propellant and rocket to equal 2.5 or greater.
A controlled combustion rate which gives the high acceleration rate over a sufficiently short time interval with the use of an Inhibitor Shield embedded into the core face of the propellant grain.

*Your contribution will facilitate:*

Component Manufacturing: Precision machining of the nozzle and enclosure. (Estimated Cost: $1000-2000)

Propellant Testing: Custom formulation and characterization. (Estimated Cost: $1000-2000)

Motorcase Fabrication: Custom filament wound carbon fiber motor cases. (Quoted Cost $2300)

The project includes multiple static fire tests, followed by one or two flight tests to demonstrate velocities exceeding 5000 feet per second, with completion projected for mid to late 2025.

*Project Lead:*
Jonathan Wild, an author with a focus on historical rockets, will document this journey in his upcoming publication. Jonathan Wild has spent over two years studying Hypervelocity Rocket design through Technical documentation, Patents, FOIA requests and the National Archives. Donors will be listed as supporters in the next book for making this dream come true (unless anonymity is requested).

*Your Involvement:*
By donating, you participate in reviving a fragment of aerospace history while contributing to the understanding of hypervelocity rocketry.

Giveaway: Limited to us residents only

Thank you for considering this unique opportunity.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Wild
