Making 808s from Free VST Synths
I'm using TAL Elek7ro for this video, but you could use just about any virtual synth instrument you like. Starting from a preset that was close to what I wanted, I create a booming, punch bass sound with a fast pitch envelope. Adding some distortion and a transient shaper gives it the bite I like.
