This poor dog rescued by Strays Worth Saving - SWS:
"When the photos of this dog was first sent to me by Kathyrn Moore, I immediately know I want to help. The eyes and forlorn body of Ticky was so heart-wrenching, I just want to hug her and reassure her she will be ok.
I immediately asked Erica Ricardel to attempt the rescue of Ticky. I was so worried about the amount of ticks she has and this could very well be another case of erlichia. Erlichia at its worse level can easily kill a dog. Unfortunately, I was right. Ticky was rescued last night and is now confined at Jamir Veterinary Clinic.
Ticky is positive for erlichia and when the results of the blood test came out, the vet said she is dying. In fact, when they tried to get blood from her for testing, they hardly got any. Moreover, her legs are swollen, which can be an indication of other illnesses.
Given that Ticky is almost without blood, she immediately underwent blood transfusion. She is not yet out of the woods but her temperature has improved since last night. Please, I implore you to plrase pray for Ticky."
