Connect your iPhone to your TV with this handy Lightning to HDMI adapter. http://amzn.to/2cipxDT. This works with current iOS devices like the iPhone 5, 6 and 7.
The Lightning Digital AV Adapter is available on Amazon for $50 (http://amzn.to/2cipxDT - affiliate link) and is used to connect an iPhone 5, iPhone 6 or iPhone 7 to a TV using an HDMI cable.
You can use this adapter to connect current iOS devices (sorry iPhone 4 peeps, not gonna work for you) to your Television. The adapter also has a spot to plug in your wall adapter or a battery to keep your phone charged while using it connected to your TV.
You'll need an HDMI cable ($5 on Amazon: http://amzn.to/2caZZ9o) to connect to your TV. Or you could just pull the HDMI out of your cable box or other device.
I also love having an external battery ($15 http://amzn.to/2cCcOZf) and a short lightning to USB cable ($6 http://amzn.to/2cCdcqR)

Do you want to connect your iPhone 5, 6 or 7 to your TV? Well I'm Brighton West and today I'm going to show you how. So we'll start out and we're going to do this with a wired connection. So this is something you're going to have to purchase. And that is the lightning digital AV adapter.I'll have a link to that down below. You can pick that up on Amazon for about $50. This is actual Apple stuff and all Apple stuff is just kinda pricey. That's what it looks like. Pretty simple. And what it's going to do is go from your phone to an HDMI cable. Let's get on the TV here. We're going to have to select the correct HDMI so you'll push the input button on your remote and make sure it's where the HDMI cable is connected. So I've got my HDMI cable here - you can see that guy. I'll also have a link if you don't have an HDMI cable, I'll have that link below. So just plug that into the white adapter. And then plug the lightning adapter into your phone. Turn it on.
Give it a couple seconds.
And there it is. Shows up on your TV exactly like it is on your phone. And there's another thing, this is kinda a cool thing if you're doing this for a while. You have the ability on the back of this adapter to actually plug into the wall and plug in and have power. Or plug into a battery pack. So I'll have links to all this - I love this tiny little cord. All these links will be down below. Just check that out if your are looking for this good stuff. Of course my phone just timed out, that's why it disappeared. Let me put it back up here. There we go, we're back up. And then you can just do anything you want to do with your phone you can do here right on your TV. So you can see - that's me recording with my old iPhone 4. If you turn it sideways it will flip. A number of things like YouTube will come up slightly different on your phone and on here. On here it will actually show you the entire video across the screen. Same thing with Netflix and Amazon and whatnot. So this is a really helpful thing. What I like to use it for personally is, I like to use this camera when I'm recording videos of myself but you can't see yourself. So here what I can do is I can record myself plugged into the TV, watch myself on the TV and make sure that it looks good and then do the recording. And I don't have to worry about flipping over the camera or putting up a mirror on the wall or whatnot. The other thing is the new iPhone 7, the bigger iPhone 7 has two cameras on the front and only one on the back, so you'll be able to use the better cameras and I've heard that they will be able to work together to make a really cool image that looks like a DSLR, so you should be able to use those cameras while still being able to see what you look like while you're recording.
So if you found this helpful hopefully you'll head down below to use those links to purchase - that supports my YouTube channel. And also share this with your friends. Everyone wants to be able to view their iPhone on their TV, right?
The lighting / HDMI cable works for both audio and video - you'll need to adjust the volume on your TV though. Your device will be mirrored onto the TV, but certain apps like Netflix and YouTube will display just the featured content on the TV.
