Check out GS-JJ for custom patches: https://www.gs-jj.com/patches/Custom-...
I was compensated to provide their link. I have not personally used their service, so keep that in mind. Let me know in a comment if you try them out! They look like an interesting option to get specialty patches made, which is why I agreed to this collaboration. It's possible I will try out their site in a future video.
I recently bought a camera bag for super cheap, but it had been in the store so long that it faded. When I took off the bag's branding emblem, I noticed that the area below it was a lot darker. I took this opportunity to jazz it up with fan scene and comic patches.
The canvas of the bag works pretty well with these patches. Some of the patches had sticky adhesive and others can only be attached with heat. I didn't look at the directions too closely, but it worked out pretty well.
Local places I found the patches:
Hot Topic: One Punch Man, Star Wars, and others. Pretty expensive.
Joanns: Generic stuff for a decent price. Be sure to check their site for a coupon.
Hobby Lobby: Marvel and generic. The price was decent. Be sure to check their site for a coupon.
A few things to keep in mind:
Use a piece of cloth over the patch when heating. Otherwise you will probably damage the patch if you don't do that.
Have the iron on a hot setting. Directions suggested cotton mode, which is what I used.
You have to apply heat for at least a minute if not more, but be careful not to damage the patch.
Avoid having the patch on areas that fold. They might hold, but I would say it's likely that the patch will eventually come off.
