How to Add a Device for a User in CloudConnexa
A Device is a computing entity (such as a desktop, smartphone, or IoT device) with an installed OpenVPN client that accesses the WPC.
A Device consumes services by connecting to the WPC, and CloudConnexa can also facilitate communication between connected devices.
Devices are associated with the identity of their User. You can control the number of devices a User can use by setting a default allowance. When a User authenticates and imports the connection profile, a Device entry is automatically created in CloudConnexa. By default, the connection profile is distributed automatically.
It is important to keep the OpenVPN Connect App installed on devices and updated to the latest version. During connection, the OpenVPN Connect App provides information about the device, such as the UUID, operating system, and more. This information is displayed in the Administration Portal and used for policy enforcement.
