Dr. Bijan Jabbari, general chair of IEEE ComSoc's GLOBECOM 2016 event, opens the conference. He's followed by a keynote presentation by Edward Tiedemann, SVP of Engineering for Qualcomm Technologies, who discusses big steps in wireless applications, spectrum and technology. Following Tiedemann, Vahid Tarokh, professor of applied mathematics at Harvard, highlights multimodal data, computation and communications. Finally, Martin Hellman, professor emeritus at Stanford University, stresses the importance of strong cybersecurity techniques.
