Kotlin helps Android developers be more productive and happier with their toolset. Google continues to expand support for Kotlin within Android, and Google is expanding its own use of Kotlin both in its Android applications and on the server.

Coroutines are now Google’s recommended way of doing asynchronous programming on Android for Kotlin developers, as it provides a structured, easy-to-read, less error-prone way to do the many asynchronous tasks Android developers need to code all the time.
