This spectacular 2004 Dodge VCA Edition Ram SRT-10 is one of only 50 offered to the public and is one of the best examples known to exist with only 585 original miles. It’s loaded with documentation including a clean Car Fax report.
DaimlerChrysler Motors Company only offered 50 special VCA Edition Ram SRT-10’s to the public. It was advertised by DaimlerCrylser with the following features in no particular order: Official pace truck of the Daytona Dodge Dealers 250 truck race, Personally signed by DaimlerChrysler Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Wolfgang Bernhard, Classic Blue/White color combination, Unique interior features, Embroidered VCA logo on floor mats, VCA logo decal on the exterior, Massive Viper V-10 engine, 500 hp and 525 lbs. of torque, Manual six-speed with Hurst shifter mechanism and linkage, 0-60 mph – 5.4 seconds, Top speed estimated at 150 mph and the fastest, most powerful production pickup ever! In order to purchase one of the 50 offered you’d had to be a 2003/2004 Viper Club of America member and entered into a raffle. The raffle tickets were priced at $100.00 per ticket. This exact truck was won by VCA member John Lyons of Barrington, Rhode Island. The original VCA letters, 5th VCA raffle advertisement and two raffle tickets are included. The truck was retailed to John Lyons from Lakeview Dodge located in Laconia, Florida. Copies of the purchase agreement, bank wire instruction sheet, DaimlerChrylser MSO, window sticker and Rhode Island title which was issued on March 17, 2004 is included. On March 31st, 2004 John Lyons sold the vehicle to friend Alfred Almeida of Barrington, Rhode Island. Copies of fax cover sheets, bill of sale, affidavit to deliver auto title, bank loan agreement forms, insurance forms and sales tax forms are included. Since both John Lyons and Alfred Almeida live in Barrington, Rhode Island and the transaction was completed so quickly after it was titled, Car Fax didn’t recognize it as a new owner so the current Car Fax report states one owner history. Alfred Almeida purchased the vehicle as an investment and only drove it sparingly over the next 27 years. MS CLASSIC CARS owner Marc Schiliro was told about the truck from John Lyons and made a deal to purchase it from Alfred Almeida in July of 2021 with 559 original miles. MS CLASSIC CARS serviced the vehicle and took it to Elmwood Dodge in East Providence, Rhode Island to complete manufacture airbags recalls. The service invoices are included. The exterior of this truck is in excellent overall condition. The SRT group includes the power bulge hood, fog lamps and rear body colored spoiler. The truck was panted Electric Blue Pearl Coat with Stone White dual stripes which was only available on the VCA Edition. It retains all of its original paint which was tested with an electric paint meter by MS CLASSIC CARS. The paint was recently detailed to a show quality shine. The VCA Special Edition Group includes dual painted stripes and VCA Edition badges. The truck sits proudly on its original 22” aluminum wheels and original Pirelli Scorpion Zero 305-40-22 tires. The Dark Slate Gray interior is also in excellent overall condition. Matter of fact it still has some factory plastic between the door sill and carpeting that was left intentionally. It’s loaded with standard features. It still has the original air bag notice tag hanging from the glovebox door. Everything in the interior is in working order including the air conditioning system. The engine compartment is all original and nicely detailed throughout. The truck is powered by a Viper 8.3L V10 SFI engine that produces 500hp. The engine starts and runs excellent. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission with Hurst shifter. The transmission shifts beautifully and the clutch is smooth to operate. The SRT Group includes an under hood lamp, dual exhaust system with chrome tips and anti-spin differential axle. The undercarriage is also all original and nicely detailed throughout. The standard equipment includes power rack and pinion steering, front stabilizer bar and four wheel disc brakes with rear wheel anti-lock. The original owner’s manuals and license plate bracket are still sealed in plastic which are included. Miscellaneous items are also included such as the tool bag, advertising brochure, magazines and copies of articles taken off the internet. Once again, this is one of the best examples known to exist with only 585 original miles!
