VIA CHICAGO 2024 RECAP
Following the 28th New York edition in March 2024 at Banville Wine Merchants, the Italian Wine Ambassador certification course took place at Navy Pier in Chicago from October 19-21.
Out of 21 candidates from around the world, 17 passed the exam: 16 became certified Italian Wine Ambassadors, and one earned the advanced title of Italian Wine Expert, joining an elite group as the 17th Expert of the Vinitaly International Academy.
Recognized as the gold standard in Italian wine education, the Vinitaly International Academy (VIA) offers a rigorous program curated by the VIA Faculty, with guidance from Chief Scientist Professor Attilio Scienza. The course emphasizes Italy’s native grape varieties and explores the unique biodiversity, history, culture, and wine business of the country’s 20 regions.
