Post and Beam Deck Foundation DIY Project
I am building the largest possible deck I can without legally requiring permits. To make the foundation as strong and safe as possible, I am using a post and beam foundation with 2x8 boards (beams) that sandwich a 4x4 post via 3/8 inch carriage bolts.
