This is part 2 of the series "I Spent 3 Years Renovating My House". When I was 16 years old I started a Youtube Channel and made videos playing the video game Farming Simulator. In the first year I made around $17,000 and then the second year I took it much more serious and made around $50,000. Alongside my other part time jobs I had as a kid I had a good amount of money building up in my savings at this point (as well as I was in high school and living with my parents, meaning minimal expenses). The house I ended up buying was $135,000. I put $35,000 down and borrowed $100,000 at a %4 interest for a 30 year term. This brought my monthly payment to $850. This was a large investment for me and going into the summer I was really going to have to watch my budget.
