AF Tracking on Sony Alpha Cameras - 2019 and later
The most significant release by Sony Alpha in 2019 was perhaps not a camera or lens but its Real-time AF Tracking. First introduced with the A6400 and then added to the A9 via a firmware upgrade it has since appeared on every subsequent camera including the A6600, A6100 and A7RIV cameras. The camera settings first need to be optimised to make best use of this reliable way to track your subject to easily achieve reliable focus.
