Bananan's dream № 1 from the film ASSA (1987), directed by Sergei Solovyov. It is a colourful abstract animation made by the main actor of the film, Sergei Bugaev.
Bananan's dreams are very important counter-cultural elements within the narrative of ASSA, first of all because they have a function of being pure experimentation with film form, as well as because on a larger scale they are a spit in the face of socialist realism and the film-making of the older generation.
