Final Cut Pro uses a ton of hard drive space, particularly if youre editing 4k video.
Here are two tips for freeing up hard drive space while using final cut pro. These are the files that are safe to delete in order to get rid of a bunch of stuff filling up your SSD.
Final Cut Pro uses temporary render files, they're like cache files, while youre editing your videos. Thats great, it makes everything run really smoothly - and these files are extremely useful while in the process of editing. But once youre done with your edit, these files dont go away. And they're never to be used again. And they take up MUCH more space than your actual video files.
In this video, I show you were to go to delete these unnecessary large files and I think that if you dont employ these techniques yet, you will find that you can empty literally half the space or more on your external drives without losing a thing!
