There has been much ado about Overkill dropping native Linux support for Payday 2 and this has caused some serious reflection for me. Do we actually need (or should we even want) Linux-native game clients? After much reflection, I don't think it matters. Especially considering there are some real drawbacks to native games versus Proton. So here are my thoughts and I'd love to hear yours!
