Tell us we’re not alone in the struggle with written components of art applications! In this episode of The Art Discourse Chrissy and Kyle are asked: "For written components, what information should be included in a project description and a technical description?” To help answer this question we pull from our own applications to show you how we write project descriptions, provide technical descriptions for events and installations and as a bonus show Kyle’s artist statement.

👍 ABOUT ART DISCOURSE:
Over the past 12 years Kyle and I have amassed a large number of questions from artists. Literally we’re sitting on a 70+ page Google document full of them. We often used them when planning our guest lectures for universities and colleges, but as you all know we haven’t really been doing as many of those talks recently. Which is a bummer because it’s a part of our job we really love. Sharing information is a valuable part of what Spark Box is to us, so, with that in mind, we decided to create another series for YouTube - The Art Discourse! We’ve broken the questions down into six categories and each month we’ll roll a dice to find out what the focus of the month will be. Our first dice roll was “funding/pricing/applications”
