What is CNC 5 Axis Milling

This type of machine includes 3 basic axes X, Y, Z, and adds 2 out of 3 auxiliary axes A, B, C. The most common are axis A and axis C or axis B and axis C. These axes have tilt and rotate the workpiece holder. Therefore, 5-axis CNC milling machines can machine complex shapes and require higher precision, such as turbines, propellers.

Some advantages of 5 axis CNC machine:
Increase productivity and save time: With multi-media machining capabilities, 5-axis CNC machines can complete complex tasks in a single machining process, reducing waiting time and increasing productivity.
Minimize the need for auxiliary tools: By using rotating and tilting axes, 5-axis CNC machines can machine parts with high complexity without requiring complex auxiliary tools, reducing costs and setup time.
Better surface quality: The ability to adjust the cutting tool angle helps 5-axis CNC machines create detailed surfaces with higher quality.
