In 2017, Jack McNaughton from Monifieth near Dundee was photographed from a new chapter of the GINGERS photo project. At the time he was 10 and had endured many challenges living with cerebral palsy. But I didn't know the full story, even he didn't know the full story behind the photo.
Jack (18) was born with cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair day to day. He is studying computer science at college and spend the rest of the time in the gym and aims to compete in a wheelchair strongman competition. The photo is on show in the Portrait building of the National Galleries of Scotland and he visited with me for the first view.
