Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart - E02 "Nefarious City"
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is the latest entry in the Ratchet and Clank series, developed by Insomniac and published by Sony in June 2021. Taking place after Into the Nexus, this game focuses on Ratchet, Clank and their interdimensional counterparts, Rivet and Kit, as they work together to fix the dimensional instability caused by the Dimensionator, which Clank repaired between the events of Into the Nexus and Rift Apart. This game employs the dimensional instability by allowing Ratchet and Rivet to use a rift tether, pulling themselves across the battlefield or to inaccessible areas. Just like past games in the series, there are many collectibles to find, which include gold bolts, spybots (which give you this game's RYNO), armor and raritanium. The armor is akin to 2016's cards, which give you passive benefits no matter if you've equipped it or not, found in pocket dimensions on each destination. Raritanium serves the same purpose in this game as it did in 2016, allowing you to upgrade your weapons. Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is available on the PS5 store for $69.99.
