I hope you enjoy my video blog about our trip to Turkey this year. It was a wonderful experience that allowed me to formulate my own opinion about the country. Personally, I thought Istanbul was too densely populated and noisy. On the contrary, Izmir was more leisurely and calm.
I didn't mention this in the video, however, you may be interested to know that there is a problem with wild cats in Turkey. There are wild cats everywhere on the streets. Even in our hotel in Izmir there were dozens-hundreds of cats all day.
I was hoping that there would be more Russians in Izmir, but unfortunately, to my great surprise, there were no tourists in Izmir
Turkey taught me the importance of balance... I used to be very strict about my schedule, it's what time I woke up, what time I want to sleep and what I will eat for dinner. Now I feel more about such details and thanks to this I feel more freedom.
Restaurant culture is wonderful. People are happy to sit for hours with their friends at the table. In Sydney, people are rushing home. It was a nice leisurely lifestyle and I enjoyed that aspect. Such an experience has changed my life in a way.
