How Sturdy Are Mastertent® Folding Gazebos? We Put Them to the Test

Because we want to know how durable our folding gazebos are, we continuously test them in the wind tunnel under the supervision of the renowned Maffeis Engineering S.p.A. company.

The results of these tests show the stability of different folding gazebo models with different fastening systems, affected by different wind strengths. One result impressed us in particular: our 3x3 m folding gazebo with 84 kg weight per tent leg and an additional fastening with tensioning straps, was able to withstand wind forces of up to 100 km/h!

It must be taken into account that in this case we had not mounted any sidewalls, as these would have limited the stability of the folding gazebo. Of course, such a test does not reflect a real situation. Even if it is possible to properly fasten a folding gazebo in an everyday situation for higher stability, it should be dismantled in very strong winds and storms. No one would or should stay outside under a folding gazebo in such circumstances.
