In this video, we will build our data model and create a date table in Power BI Desktop.

After importing the data from different files in the previous video, we now need to relate them ready for our analysis. We can do this in our model view.

We then need to create a date table. It is important to have a date, or calendar table, in your model to efficiently perform date and time calculations. This date table must include every day, of every year for the dates in your data set.

In this video, we will create a simple date table in Power BI Desktop that suits our analytical purposes.
