I was hunting for Aipom to get its hidden ability and full odds shiny Primape showed up after just 3 encounters, full odds. I'm not joking.
If you couldn't tell, I wasn't prepared for this and I didn't expect the moves it had...
For those wondering, this is called an ambush encounter. As you saw, it's possible to shiny hunt certain Pokemon using this method.
