Rosie is our friendly buffalo. Brian and Rosie were hanging out in the front yard last summer. In the spring and summer buffalo shed their coats. We often save the fur as buffalo fur, also known as bison wool, is a highly versatile material with several uses due to its warmth, softness, and durability. It can be used for many things like clothing, blankets, insulation, crafts, rugs and artistic uses.
Buffalo fur's sustainability is another aspect that makes it attractive for various uses. As bison farming practices continue to evolve, the material is seen as an eco-friendly alternative to synthetic fibers, aligning with growing consumer interest in natural and sustainable products.
