Hogy Epoxy Jigs are excellent lures for False Albacore and Bonito. Green Bonito have been caught from Narragansett to Charlestown. They are not abundant but that will change.
We offer 5/8 oz, 7/8 oz, 1 1/4 oz and 2 oz Epoxy Jigs.
Light tackle inshore boat anglers use the 5/8 0z to 1 1/4 oz jigs. Shore and jetty fishermen generally use 1 1/4 and 2 oz Epoxies.
I personally use all four sizes.
I am of the opinion that a longer cast and longer retrieve allows for more opportunity of engagement. I find the bonito are not put off by larger sizes and I use bright colors in 1 1/4 and 2 oz Epoxy Jigs most of the time
