How to replace the fuel lines on an Audi TT Mk1 and how to remove fuel lines that are leaking.
A leaking fuel line in an engine bay can be extremely dangerous so you should always change your fuel lines if they are leaking.
Smell fuel under the bonnet? Get it checked!
On the Audi TT mk1 it is a simple process.
This is very simple with just a couple of hand tools.
You need:
A spring clip removal tool.
Screwdriver.
Pipe cutting tool or knife.
A length of 5/16 or 8mm x 1mm Fuel pipe.
The 2 fuel lines you need to replace are 34Cm and 41Cm. However, I would cut these 37cm and 44cm to give yourself some extra pipe.
If you are replacing the clips also, I would go with genuine spring clips as the jubilee clips tend to contribute to the fuel pipe lines failing.
