In the summer of 2024, an ominous item arrived in Carmarthen, Wales at Rowtons' Museum of the Paranormal and Spirituality. Known as "The Gwyllgi", it had terrorised a young mother from West Wales, causing her to experience horrifying nightmares of hellish animals, supernatural hellhound shadow figures, creepy poltergeist activity, and even mysterious scratch marks. She believed she was being hunted by a "dog of darkness", a black dog monster sent from Hell to curse her. She ultimately gave the cursed object to Laura and Erik Rowton, with them and others going on to experience further paranormal activity.
