In todays video we’re going to be talking about twitch and my opinion on twitch in 2022.

This entire video is just my opinion, if you disagree with my opinion that’s perfectly fine. I just think twitch is making bad decision after bad decision. After Mixer I don’t really have trust in massive companies.

MAIN:
I gained 10 followers on twitch for the week, I streamed FORTNITE AND MINECRAFT for my over saturated games and Fall Guys and Wii Sports for the categories under 5000 viewers. Wii Sports and Fall Guys were my most successful games for followers. Obviously streaming low end games will help your channel grow a lot faster cause there’s not much competition. I gained roughly gained 3 followers each stream playing low end games.

I gained about 50 viewers in total for the week and peaked at 5 concurrent viewers on one stream. Minecraft was the most viewed stream, obviously people of Minecraft and when you stream a game like that people will check you out cause they want to see how good you are, how far are you in the game and what’s your building like.

I had an average viewer rate of 2.4, which is amazing for a brand new channel. You need an average viewer rate of 3 viewers to be able to make affiliate on top of 8 days streaming and 50 followers.

That’s was my week on twitch and even tho I thought the week was very successful I actually don’t think twitch is worth streaming on in 2022.

AND HERES WHY

-All the changes twitch are making. It feel like they are only in it for the money and don’t care about the streamers or viewers just money, money, money.

-All the streamers that get banned for no reason and how unfair they are when banning. Two streamers could do the same crime but one gets a warning and the others get a lifetime ban.

-SO MANY top streamers are leaving for different platforms to stream. You might be thinking if they leave. I won’t have competition so I will grow and yes that could happen but THEY aren’t leaving for no reason. They are leaving because twitch is dying and they know in two years form now. Twitch probably won’t be around.

-MASSIVE ONE TWITCH IS OWNED BY AMAZON. AMAZON BOUGHT IT FOR 800 MILLION AND EVER SINCE ITS BEEN LOSING MONEY. AMAZON IS A BUSINESS AND BUSINESS MAKES MONEY NOT LOSES IT. If that doesn’t change twitch will be shut down

What I think you should do:

If you want to grow as a streamer in 2022 you will need to make other content other than streaming to grow. It’s a massive industrial now so you will need to put in a lot of effort to get people onto your stream. You can’t just rely on twitch, YouTube or Trovo to grow your channel.

Start a YouTube Channel and make videos, Make Shorts content with clips of your streams and do the same over on tiktok. Make original content as well so you’re not just replying on your stream clips to help you grow.

You can PICK whatever platform you want to stream on, just make sure you learn everything about the platform you pick and see will it help you in the long run

Trovo: HELPS streamers to grow a lot, they are set up to help streamers grow and have an awesome community

YouTube: easy to stream when you sort out the setting in OBS, they will push your live streams out to people they think will like you after they see you consistently doing work on your channel.

Twitch: OGs at streaming, SOOO many people use and love the site, straight forward and have great panels where you can direct your viewers over to all your social medias

I PERSONALLY THINK TWITCH IS GOING TO DIE BEFORE THE END OF 2023 so just make sure if you are going to pick twitch just make sure you create a following somewhere else so if it does die you won’t die with it.
