Flying Over Bay of Islands, New Zealand
During a Princess Cruise in Australia and New Zealand, I booked a helicopter tour with Salt Air in Paihia, New Zealand, flying over the Bay of Islands to the famous Hole In The Rock. We also flew over the Royal Princess, our cruise ship for the trip. A woman on the ground crew told me that the pilot's name is "Lucky". She may have thought this would reassure me, but I immediately wondered what catastrophe he avoided to get the nickname "Lucky."
