You can do blog commenting by finding blogs through:
drop my link (its a website, just google to find it)
manual search on google for "top 100 ________ blogs" (you're niche goes in the space)

It's easy to do and it does actually work as I've had some great results by doing it. Not only am I getting traffic from it but it is also one of the few things that I have seen move my DA and PA dramatically on my site.
